Terms & disclosures
Last updated: 5 October 2026
These terms apply when you use maverickmerchant.com.au, download one of our guides, send us a merchant statement or ask us for a business review. By doing any of those things you agree to them.
1. Who we are
Maverick Merchant is the trading name of The Trustee for FBCS Discretionary Trust, ABN 13 975 805 377, based in Western Australia ("we", "us", "our"). You can reach us at info@maverickmerchant.com.au.
2. What we do
We review how a business is set up across four areas: customers and loyalty, operations and systems, marketing and visibility, and costs and supplier arrangements (including card payments). Where it helps, we introduce you to providers who can fix what we find.
We are not a bank, a payment provider, a credit provider or a financial adviser. What we give you is general information about your business arrangements. It is not financial, legal, tax or accounting advice. Please get professional advice before making decisions that depend on it.
3. Our guides and reviews are free
Our guides, statement checks and business reviews cost you nothing. We will never charge you a fee without telling you the amount and getting your agreement in writing first.
4. How we are paid (disclosures)
- We are an independent introducer. We are not owned by, or exclusively tied to, any bank or payment provider.
- When a business takes up a product or service through our introduction, the provider may pay us a commission or referral fee. That payment comes from the provider, not from you.
- Some of the businesses we may refer you to, including Shop Local WA and the SportWest Benefits Platform, are owned by the same people who own Maverick Merchant.
- If you ask, we will tell you whether we would be paid for a particular introduction.
5. Figures and estimates
Any saving, cost or other figure we show you, on this site, in our guides, in our ads or in a review, is an example or an estimate. It is based on the information available to us, including what you give us. It is not a promise or a guarantee. Actual results depend on your turnover, card mix, current agreements, provider pricing and how your business operates.
6. Your decisions and provider terms
Whether you change anything is up to you. If you take up a product or service, you contract directly with that provider and their terms, fees and cancellation conditions apply. Please read them before you sign. We are not responsible for a provider's products or service.
7. Information you send us
Only send us documents you are entitled to share. We handle merchant statements and other business documents as set out in our privacy policy.
8. Using this website
The content on this site and in our guides belongs to us unless stated otherwise. You may use it for your own business, but please don't republish it without permission. Links to other websites are for convenience, and we don't control their content.
9. Your consumer rights and our liability
Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies any right or remedy you have under the Australian Consumer Law or any other law that cannot be excluded. Subject to that, we are not liable for any loss arising from your reliance on general information on this site or in our guides.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Western Australia.
11. Changes
We may update these terms. The current version is always on this page, with the date it was last updated at the top.
